Thank you to Robert Reich for this piece from the Guardian. It gives a good explanation of why our society may be splitting into the “haves” and “have nots”, and why the previous strong middle class that was prevalent over the last 50+ years is eroding. It was the strong middle class that has kept our country stable. People have varying opinions about labor unions or emphasis on the worker, but in my view, we need to have a common understanding of, and find balance between, the pros and cons of them in order to preserve a strong middle class. Can’t we meet in the middle to afford opportunity to all?
