The recommendations from this Brooking Institute article, The Role of AI in Education and Workforce (link), states that, as Artificial Intelligence programs continue to influence workforce labor needs, educators need to be on top of those needs and the changing dynamics of the workforce in order to prepare their students for the future. That leads me to pose this question: HOW will school administrators prepare their teachers and faculty to recognize and meet these needs? Educators currently spend the majority of their time teaching and performing administrative and committee duties. Are administrators ready to provide (and will teachers demand) paid sabbatical time to understand, cultivate relationships with, and immerse themselves in, industry so as to better prepare themselves and their students for the workforce of the future? Further, is the tax-paying public cognizant of the need for this?
